Your care team at Johnston Health aims to give you the best possible service in a friendly, open way. If you have feedback about your stay or a loved one’s experience, reach out to help us improve our care.

While You’re a Patient

Give us the opportunity to make you feel more comfortable during your test or treatment. While you’re at Johnston Health for care, let your team know right away if you have questions or concerns. You may also call 919-938-7517 weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. to reach our patient experience specialist, who can help you communicate with your care team.

Take Charge of Your Experience

Improve your patient experience by:

  • Educating yourself about your diagnosis, treatment plan, and medications
  • Inviting a trusted family member or friend to your hospital visits to provide support and help you remember the doctor’s instructions
  • Speaking up and asking your care team questions until you fully understand
  • Participating in decisions about your care

Call the Johnston Health Careline at 919-938-7443 or email jmhcareline@unchealth.unc.edu if you’re not satisfied with how your team addressed your concerns during your time with us. Rest assured that we’ll take your feedback seriously and respond in a timely way.

Survey on Your Experience

After an overnight hospital stay, you may receive a survey by phone about your experience. You can share your thoughts on the nurses’ care, doctors’ care, and hospital environment. We work to improve our service based on your responses to the survey—part of the nationwide Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS).
