Become a Volunteer
Thank you for your interest in the volunteer program at Johnston Medical Center. When you volunteer, you help serve your community hospital and patients as well.
We hope the time you spend volunteering create a lasting and rewarding experience.
Before beginning active service you must:
What you should know:
- Orientation sessions are held four times a year.
- Once you apply to volunteer, you will be informed when the next available session begins.
- Orientation sessions typically begin at 9 a.m. and end at 4 p.m.
- Sessions are held in the auditorium at Johnston Medical Mall located across from the Hospital.
Upon arrival at the Medical Mall, you may use the North or South Entrance.
When entering the Mall from the North Entrance, turn right at the end of the hall and continue down the main hall to the auditorium located on your right.
When entering from the South Entrance, turn left at the end of the hall, continue down the main hall to the auditorium, which will be located on your left.
Volunteers work in all areas of the hospital so there are lots of opportunities.

Once your application is processed, a hospital representative will contact you with information about opportunities available based on your schedule and interests.
