Become a Volunteer
Volunteering is a rewarding experience for you, our patients and our visitors. If you are interested in becoming a Johnston Health Volunteer, please fill out the online application.
Before beginning active service you will be asked to:
- Print and bring your completed application to your interview
- Agree to have Johnston Health complete background check
(Form included with application)
- Allow us to make your identification badge
- Attend and complete a volunteer orientation session
- You will be notified when your orientation is scheduled.
- Orientation begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends mid-afternoon.
- There is also a quarterly night session if days are inconvenient.
- Orientation is held in the Johnston Medical Mall auditorium.
- Johnston Medical Mall is across the street from the Hospital.
Volunteers work in all areas of the hospital so there are lots of opportunities.

Once your application is processed, a hospital representative will contact you with information about opportunities available based on your schedule and interests.
