 Infectious Disease Specialist - Dr. Octavio Cieza 

Johnston Health is proud to have recruited the county's first infectious disease specialist.

Dr. Octavio Cieza is board certified in both internal medicine and infectious diseases. He brings expertise in identifying difficult-to-diagnose diseases such as Lyme disease.

Infectious disease specialists are trained in treating infections of the sinuses, heart, brain, lungs, urinary tract, bowel, bones and pelvic organs. Their extensive training focuses on all kinds of infections, including those caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites.

Dr. Cieza's passion is to help and treat those infected with chronic illnesses. He is consulting and practicing internal medicine at the Medical Arts Pavilion located on the campus of Johnston Medical Center-Smithfield.
