You're invited to run, have fun for a cause
Want to have fun while supporting a worthy cause?
Mark your calendars for the first annual Johnston Health Family Fun Day and Champions 5K Walk/Run. It's on Oct. 27. The two events will be staged at the front of Johnston Medical Center in Smithfield.
A Supportive Community
Alison Drain, director of the Johnston Health Foundation, says the behind-the-scenes planning has included Town of Smithfield employees, the town council, local businesses and the National Guard.
"We're seeing a broad wide range of community support," she says. "It's cool to see so many people pitch in for our cause to support the Emergency Services Capital Campaign."
