About Kerry E. Hunt, MD
Kerry E. Hunt, M.D., earned his Bachelor of Science degree at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan and went on to medical school at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Hunt completed his internship in general medicine at Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California, and completed his ophthalmology residency at the same institution.
His broad range of experience includes that of Flight Surgeon with the Marine Corps, Staff Ophthalmologist at National Naval Medical Center, and Specialty Leader for Ophthalmology with the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, US. Navy.
Dr. Hunt is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Dr. Hunt’s areas of interest are Cataract Surgery, Refractive Surgery (LASIK and PRK), and Glaucoma.
He is a leader in small-incision cataract surgery, performing over 800 procedures per year. Dr. Hunt uses the most up-to-date technologies in the field of cataract surgery including premium intraocular lenses (Alcon ReStor, AMO Technis Multifocal and the Bausch and Lomb CrystaLens)
