Johnston Health Family Night Out at the Festival of Trees
November 29, 2012

Date: Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012
Time: 5 till 7 p.m.
Place: Johnston Medical Mall, 514 N. Bright Leaf Blvd., Smithfield, N.C. 27577
Every December, the Johnston Medical Mall comes alive with the spirit of the holidays. The scent of freshly-cut Fraser firs, the buzz of volunteers as they decorate the trees in myriad themes and styles, and the delight of visitors who come to see the spectacle, and be entertained by local, talented singers and musicians of all ages and backgrounds.
This year, Johnston Health is joining the celebration of the Ninth Annual Johnston County Festival of Trees on opening night, Nov. 29, by hosting an open house from 5 till 7 p.m. of the 12 business, outpatient and wellness services within the mall.
If you've ever wondered what's behind the "storefronts," the open house is a great opportunity to see what's inside. You'll get to meet staff, medical specialists and business owners and take tours to see nifty medical technology such as the hyperbaric chambers used in treating wounds.
We'll greet you at the door with a holiday stocking and a "Twelve Days of Christmas" event card to guide you from one stop to the next. Once you visit all 12 locations, you may enter your card into a drawing to win an angel tree topper.
Parents are welcome to bring their children to the open house. At every location, they'll get a stocking stuffer they can use or share with adults. Or if you come without children, that's fine, too. Adults can get a stocking and stocking stuffers, too.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available to visit with children and take their Christmas wish lists. And we'll serve light hors d'oeuvres and beverages at a table in the center of the mall.
The Festival of Trees, which is a fundraiser of the Keep Johnston County Beautiful organization, will have an opening dedication that night and live entertainment from 6 till 9 p.m. Both the open house and the festival are free to the public.
The open house is for one night only but the festival will continue through Dec. 5. For more information about the festival, visit www.jcfestivaloftrees.com.
