Behavioral Health at

The Behavioral Health Services inpatient unit offers individualized treatment through a full range of psychiatric services using a team approach within a framework of education, comprehensive treatment and support to meet the following goals:
• Provide quality service based upon current acceptable practice standards.
• Employ competent, pleasant, caring staff, who function as a team.
• Stabilize and return a patient home as quickly as possible.
• Help the patient function as independently and safely as possible.
• Reduce the likelihood of future hospitalizations or relapses through education and increased self-awareness.
Patients seeking admission to the inpatient unit must have medical clearance by a personal physician or through the Emergency Department.
Visiting Hours
It is a good idea to inquire in advance if the patient wishes to see a particular visitor.

Monday - Friday
7:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Weekends and holidays
3:30 pm to 4:30 pm
7:30 pm - 8:30 pm
There are rules.
No one under age 12 may visit.
No more than 2 visitors per patient.
No children are allowed to visit unless ordered by a physician.
If ordered, children’s visits may be made in the Library, per Charge Nurse discretion, patient’s state of mind, and current environment of unit.
No more than 2 visitors at a time per patient.
All visitors will remain in the Dayroom.
There will be no visitations in the Patient rooms.
Visitors who are under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs will not be permitted on the unit.
Family members may share information with the staff concerning the patient, but the staff will not discuss the patient with family unless the patient gives written consent.
At times visitors may be restricted by the physician’s order.
